Billy (Zach Galligan)’s Timeline and Summary

Billy's dad brings home an early Christmas gift: Gizmo the mogwai.
Gizmo soon becomes man's best friend. Sorry, Barney.
Billy does a good job obeying the three rules: avoid bright light, don't get him wet, and don't feed him after midnight.
But Billy's friend Pete knocks over a glass of water onto Gizmo and he multiplies, shooting out five more furballs.
Billy lends one to his high school science teacher, Mr. Hanson, for tests.
These furballs are mogwai behaving badly, and they trick Billy into feeding them after midnight.
Mr. Hanson's mogwai mutated too, and Billy finds the science teacher dead in his room.
So begins the gremlin rampage.
Billy saves his mom from a gremlin, and chases Stripe, the gremlin gang leader.
Stripe multiplies in a swimming pool, unleashing dozens of gremlins on the town.
Billy rescues Kate from the local pub, and they follow Stripe to a movie theater.
With Kate's help, Billy causes a gas leak and blows up the theater, destroying all the gremlins except Stripe.
He needs to stop Stripe before he multiplies again, so Billy pursues him into a nearby department store.
After a few near-death encounters with the crazed gremlin, Billy corners Stripe.
Gizmo opens the blinds, frying Stripe in the sun.
The day is saved, but Gizmo's original owner comes to reclaim him.
Billy has to say goodbye to his new friend.
