There isn't any actual sex in Happy Days, or romance for that matter. However, sex (or lack of sex) is an unspoken theme in Happy Days, especially as it relates to Winnie and Willie's marriage. There's also a bit of nudity given that Willie likes to parade around the mound in his birthday suit. Also, themes of impotence and fertility are noticeable in symbols such as the emmet, the mound, and the revolver. The idea of new life coming into existence in such a barren and bleak environment is a topic the play constantly puts forward.
