Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe)’s Timeline and Summary
- After a disastrous Dursley dinner (is there any other kind?) Harry inflates his aunt like she's the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Woman.
- He runs away from the Dursleys and boards the Knight Bus, which takes him to the Leaky Caudron, where he reunites with Ron and Hermione.
- They board the Hogwarts Express.
- It's yet another trip to Hogwarts until a Dementor boards the train.
- It attempts to suck Harry's soul, but is thwarted by Professor Lupin. Good thing he rides with the students.
- At Hogwarts, Harry attends Care of Magical Creatures with a new teacher: Hagrid.
- Harry gets to ride Buckbeak, a griffin, but Draco Malfoy, the type of person to stick his face into a tiger's cage, is injured by Buckbeak and gets Hagrid in trouble.
- Lupin teaches Harry to fend off Dementors with the Patronus charm. It depends on a happy memory, which Harry is in short supply of.
- Unable to officially take a trip to Hogsmeade, Harry sneaks to the magical village with the help of the Marauder's Map.
- The Map shows the location of everyone inside Hogwarts, including someone he heard was dead: Peter Pettigrew.
- A crazy dog drags Ron into the base of the Whomping Willow. Turns out the dog isn't rabid, it's just Sirius Black, escaped convict.
- Ron's rat, Scabbers, is really Peter Pettigrew, an Animagus. Pettigrew helped Voldemort kill Harry's parents, so Harry helps Sirius detain Pettigrew to turn him over to the Dementors.
- Pettigrew escapes when Lupin turns into a werewolf. Sirius is recaptured. Hermione brings Harry back in time to fix things.
- Harry ends up conjuring a massive Patronus to scare away a swarm of Dementors, rescuing Sirius. 'Atta boy, Harry.
- Sirius later mails Harry a broomstick. A small thank you for the person who saved his life, but a nice gift nonetheless.
