The circus supervisor has the dubious honor of receiving the hunger artist's last words. Unfortunately for the hunger artist, the supervisor seems more interested in cleaning up the mess in the cage than he is in appreciating what the hunger artist has to say. Like the artist's former manager, the circus supervisor has a conversation with the artist that only he can hear: the others hear what the supervisor says, but not what the artist whispers. And like the artist's former manager, the circus supervisor indicates to the others that the artist is mentally ill. What do you think? Do you trust this guy?
