Dick Timeline and Summary

Jim is introduced to Mac when Harry Nilson brings him to the flophouse for the first time.
We learn that Dick is in charge of "bedroom politics"—seducing potential donors to the Party.
Dick returns to the house one day in a hurry with the news that Joy has been arrested for stabbing a police officer.
Mac sends letters to Dick from Torgas Valley, requesting materials for the strike.
Dick sends a letter to Mac reporting that Joy has escaped from custody—but that his whereabouts are unknown.
Dick appears at the orchard dressed to impress, and Mac gives him a list of local sympathizers to hit up for donations. He's successful and sends items to camp.
As the strike goes on, Dick's lucky streak ends. He's being stalked in town, and he sends a newspaper article to Mac that was intended to dry up the strikers' supplies.
Dick asks London to write a letter stating that the strikers are receiving no food from the Growers; that way, he'll be able to start collecting donations again.
Dick secures some cows and beans from a local lady farmer by seducing her. He's not happy about having to follow through, but he does it for the cause.
