Character Role Analysis
Indiana Jones
Indiana may fight off waves of nasty Nazis and save his dad's life, but those aren't the only reasons why he's the movie's hero. He's also the character who experiences the most growth. At the beginning of the story, Indiana harbors tons of resentment toward his dad, Henry, who's been AWOL for most of Indiana's life. After the Joneses take down Donovan and defend the Holy Grail, though, they have a reconciliation. Indiana starts to understand his dad more. We're not saying these two are going to start taking weekly father-son fishing trips or buy Jets season tickets together, but when they ride off into the sunset, their bond is stronger than ever, and its largely due to Indiana's evolution.
