Bibi Haldar Timeline and Summary

Bibi, who has an incurable epileptic-type illness, wails daily about wanting a husband and a child.
One day, she has one of her seizures and is taken to a doctor who says that a husband would cure her disease.
Overwhelmed with happiness, Bibi immediately prepares for a wedding even though she doesn't have a husband or any prospects yet.
Her cousin Haldar refuses to help her find a husband, but eventually agrees and puts up a notice about Bibi's availability.
Nothing comes from the notice and, even worse, Haldar kicks Bibi out of the house and into the storage room because his pregnant wife insists Bibi's illness is dangerous to the fetus.
By the time the baby arrives, Bibi's made her way back into the house; however, she's kicked out to the storage room again when the baby gets sick.
The community, horrified by Haldar's treatment of Bibi, boycotts his store and end up driving him out of business.
Haldar and his family abandon Bibi, who falls into a silent depression.
Then, one day, the community finds out that Bibi is four months pregnant.
They help her through her pregnancy and delivery of her baby boy.
They also support her in her efforts to take over Haldar's abandoned store, which she operates successfully.
Bibi never has another seizure again.
