Grandma Louise Bradshaw

You might try to say that Caroline is the antagonist here because she spends so much time infuriating Louise, but Grandma's really the most openly hateful and cruel figure in Louise's life. Grandma seems to delight in Louise's second-class status and likes pushing her down a few pegs whenever she can. In Grandma, Louise sees everything she hates: a person afraid to live and afraid to die, whose only happiness is in tormenting others. Yeah, she's pretty awful.
