His Serene Highness, Prince Aleksander of Hohenberg a.k.a. Alek Timeline and Summary

June 28, 1914: Alek's parents are assassinated and he begins his escape to Switzerland in the walker, along with Volger, Klopp, Bauer, and Hoffman
June-July 1914: Alek finds himself hunted across Central Europe by German walkers. He hides out in barns, learns to pilot a walker really well, encounters commoners, argues with Volger a lot, and finds out that the pope approved his parents' marriage and declared him his father's heir.
Early August 1914: Alek arrives at the hidden castle in the Swiss Alps.
August 1914: On his first night in the castle, Alek takes supplies to the wounded Leviathan and gets himself captured. Over the next few days, he helps negotiate a compromise between his own companions and the Leviathan's crew, totals his walker fighting off a German zeppelin attack, and suggests using the walker's engines to replace those the Leviathan lost. He admits his true identity to Deryn and Dr. Barlow, but keeps it a secret from everyone else, hoping he'll be able to escape once the Leviathan reaches the Ottoman Empire. Good luck with that, Alek.
