Character Analysis
Aurelia is Albertine's aunt, Zelda's sister, and Marie/Nector's daughter. Yeah dudes: this family is close and drama-filled.
Albertine describes Aurelia as pretty sexy with her "her careful permanent, high rounded cheeks, tight jeans, and frilled rodeo shirts" (1.2.42). Overall, Aurelia seems a bit more laidback and fun-loving than Zelda, but Albertine sees a lot of similarities as well:
The odd thing about the two… was the differenter they acted the more alike they showed themselves. They clung to their rock-bottom opinions. They were so strong in their beliefs that there came a time when it hardly mattered what exactly those beliefs were; they all fused into a single stubbornness. (1.2.42)
Well, it seems like there's no shortage of, er, conviction among the Kashpaw women, right?
