Regina

Regina is the meanest girl of all and Cady's main obstacle to happiness. At first, she seems to take Cady under her wing. Soon, it's clear that she's up to no good, and when she tells Cady she'll put in a good word for her with Aaron, but instead gets back together with him, there's no doubt that she's the most toxic person in Cady's life. As a mentor of sorts to Cady, she also doubles down on her antagonism by teaching Cady how to be as mean and superficial as she is.

Cady

As Cady goes deeper and deeper undercover with The Plastics, she morphs into her own worst enemy. Or, in other words, she becomes Regina. She starts dressing and talking like her. She turns her back on Janis and Damian, putting their friendship in peril. She takes her parents' trust and shoves it under the sink like the fertility vase of the Ndebele tribe. In short, she loses her sense of self in the pursuit of popularity.
