• Christine appears and the townsfolk are amazed at her beauty. For a while at least. Then they start talking about how everybody hates her.
• Christine and Lavinia argue about whether or not she had a right to allow Seth to show their estate to his friends.
• Lavinia confronts Christine about what she was actually doing in New York.
• Christine tries to deny it, but Lavinia is like a half-crazy pit bull, and so Christine admits she's visited Adam Brant.
• She lets Brant know what's up. Brant says that Lavinia is onto him, too.
• Christine gets super manipulative and encourages Brant to help her murder Ezra by getting her poison.
• Christine and Lavinia have another argument. She admits to being in love with Brant and tries to explain herself. Lavinia makes it obvious she doesn't care. Christine also admits that she loves Orin a whole lot and never really liked Lavinia.
• She agrees to Lavinia's demand that she stop seeing Adam Brant.
• Ezra returns from war and spills his guts to Christine, hoping to make her love him again.
• Christine isn't having it. She murders Ezra.
• Orin comes home, and she coddles him like a baby and tells him he shouldn't believe anything that Lavinia says.
• When Lavinia places the box of poison pills over the chest of Ezra's corpse, Christine breaks down. Orin is now convinced that she's guilty.
• Thinking that both her kids are out of town visiting friends, Christine slips away and talks to Brant.
• She tells him what happened and they make plans to get away.
• Little does she know that Orin and Lavinia had plans of their own.
• Christine kills herself after Orin tells her that he and Lavinia have murdered Brant.
