Mik

Even though the book gives us several perspectives, Mik is our main gal. Why? Not only is she the character we get to know the best, but she also goes through a change in the book. Mik is the character learning a lot about herself and figuring out her place in the world—Jimmi and Fatima already know who they are and stick to it throughout the book—and because of this transformation, Mik is our protagonist, the character whose journey we root for along the way.
