This is a pretty straightforward poem about a wife missing her husband. Simple, right? Yes, it is, but the reason we didn't give it an even easier rating is because there are a couple of things that might throw us off on a first reading. First of all, there are the names of strange locations, like Changgan. (Where the heck's that? Go back to the "What's Up With the Title?" section to find out). And then, given that this is an ancient poem, there are references to cultural practices or habits that can be confusing. Who knew people got married at fourteen back in ancient China?
