Or perhaps we should rate this book T for Teen for suggestive themes, crude humor, and infrequent use of strong language. The book may have been called a "nerdgasm" by author John Scalzi (source), but that's about the only 'gasm in its pages.
Aside from an off-screen liaison with an anatomically correct doll, and a diatribe about masturbation, Ready Player One is relatively tame. Narrator Wade Watts is a virgin throughout the entire story, and his tale concludes not with any "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" but a simple, yet romantic, kiss.
