• Tibby is the only one from her group of friends stuck home for the summer; she works at Wallman's Drugstore and has "darts for breasts" (2.14).
• She rides her bike to work and her crush, Tucker Rowe, spots her wearing her polyester smock. Ugh.
• Immediately, Tibby hates her boss—he'll get the starring role in her suckumentary; she is also grossed out by Angela, a lady with very long fingernails.
• On her first day, Tibby borrows some tape from the store to put a display together, and winds up getting accused by her boss of stealing. Let the summer fun begin.
• Tibby can't stand her life at home. Sure she loves Mimi the guinea pig—it's her parents and younger siblings that are annoying. There's not much quality time.
• Crash in aisle two at Wallman's: Tibby finds twelve-year-old Bailey buried under the antiperspirant display.
• Tibby checks on Bailey at her house and finds out she has leukemia.
• Bailey wants to be Tibby's friend, and she really wants to help Tibby film her suckumentary; plus she also likes Mimi.
• Tibby continues to swoon over Tucker Rowe, but Bailey's not impressed—she can see beyond appearances.
• Meet Brian McBrian, geeky gamer. The girls film him for the suckumentary, but Tibby doesn't understand why Bailey thinks he's anything special.
• Surprise—Carmen is back from South Carolina. Bailey films her and asks lots of questions, and Tibby can't help but ask if Carmen is even mad at her father for causing all of the problems. Wrong questions to ask—add another person to Carmen's hate list.
• Tibby worries when Bailey doesn't show up at Wallman's, and then Bailey's mother breaks the bad news: Bailey is in the hospital and won't be coming out. They have stopped treatment because Bailey wanted to have a little bit of time to enjoy life before she dies.
• Tibby avoids Bailey even though Bailey wants to see her.
• Mimi dies, and Tibby avoids this as well, by shoving her dead pet in the freezer. Meanwhile, Tibby stops washing her hair.
• Carmen gives Tibby the Pants and pushes her to visit Bailey.
• While lying in her bed, Tibby hears talk show host Jay Leno say "surprise yourself"—it's something Bailey once told her too, so off she goes to Bailey's bedside.
• Later on she visits Brian McBrian, and when she does, she discovers she actually likes playing Dragon Master. She realizes it's the little things in life that make up the big things.
• At work, Tibby talks to Angela about Bailey—she feels like a heel because she judged Angela, and so many others, before getting to know them.
• The phone rings. No need to answer; she knows Bailey died.
• After the funeral, she takes Mimi out of the freezer (thank goodness) and buries her beside Bailey.
