Silva (Javier Bardem)’s Timeline and Summary

Before we even see him, Silva puts his plan to kill M into motion.
Silva attempts to turn Bond against M but fails to do so.
Silva is captured, but even this is part of his plan.
Once inside MI6, Silva is closer to M than ever before.
Q attempts to hack into Silva's computer, which backfires, shutting down MI6's security from the inside.
Silva escapes and tries to kill M. He fails.
Bond lures Silva to Skyfall, where Silva and his men lead an all-out assault on Bond's childhood home.
Bond blows Skyfall to bits, but Silva manages to avoid the blast.
Silva captures M, and begs her to kill them both.
Bond throws a knife into Silva's back and kills him. M dies, but Silva doesn't get to see it. To him, his plan was a failure.
