The Seven Days

Character Analysis

The Seven Days are a society of seven black men who, whenever a black man, woman, or child is murdered by a white person, reciprocate the murder by taking the life of a white person, killing him/her in a similar manner. They choose their victims at random, and they tell no one of their killings or of their involvement in the group. The Days have been around since the 1920s, when two black war veterans were brutally murdered for no reason at all. The society consists of Guitar, Hospital Tommy, Railroad Tommy, Henry Porter, Empire State, Nero, and one other man who is never mentioned. They often congregate at the barbershop.
