Black Timeline and Summary

Black brings White back to his apartment.
He attempts to explain his religious views to White, after White asks him if he really believes Jesus is in the room.
Black gets into a long discussion with White about the nature of existence, God, books, and culture. He tries to convince White not to commit suicide, to put him in the "trick bag."
Black keeps trying to get White to stay—he makes dinner for him, which they both eat and enjoy.
However, after dinner, while the debate continues, Black gradually runs out of options and arguments.
White finally and definitely states his wholehearted longing for death and convinces Black to let him leave.
Black breaks down crying, promising to try to save White again, and reaffirming his commitment to God's will.
