Protagonist
Character Role Analysis
Christine de Pizan
Christine de Pizan is definitely the protagonist in this book, since she's the character who needs to overcome conflict through learning more about herself. She's also the person we sympathize with, since she feels horrible about being a woman after reading a book by some obscure jerko named Mathéolus.
Over the course of this book, she sets out to build a city for all the great women of history to live in. By the end of the book, she has achieved her dream and is convinced that as a woman, she's not inferior to men in any way.
