Claire Standish (Molly Ringwald)’s Timeline and Summary

When Claire arrives in her Dad's BMW, he coddles her, saying it's no big deal to get detention for playing hooky to go shopping.
In detention, she acts like a snob, saying she's not supposed to be here with these other kids.
Bender continually harasses her and she acts disgusted.
But she ends up defending Bender when he removes a screw from the door and Vernon blames him for it.
After journeying to find Bender's drugs and then smoking pot with him, Claire ends up sitting in a circle with the other kids, and they sometimes dramatically discuss their lives and reveal things about each other.
In the end, she makes out with Bender and ends up giving him one of her diamond earrings, which he puts in his own ear.
