Merriman Lyon

He might be a little cold around the edges, but Merriman is most definitely Will's guide and mentor. This guy teaches Will about the Signs, filling him in on what he needs to know about the Old Ones and the Dark. It's not long before he's taking Will through time and space to collect different goodies for their quest. Will's not the first person Merriman's mentored over the millennia, though—he once guided Hawkin, too, but things aren't so hot between them now.
