Alan

Alan's a bit duplicitous with Nick, but we still think he fits this role. After all, he's Nick's caretaker from a super early age, and he's the person responsible for teaching Nick to talk—something nobody expected was possible. In addition, Alan has been Nick's primary role model as he learns to navigate the human world and all of its intricacies, including interpersonal relationships, moral and ethical choices, and, of course, hair-ruffling.
