Exactly how steamy is this story?

There's no nudity, and while there are a couple of make-out scenes, none of them ever go beyond kissing, but hoo-boy—this book still sizzles. There's some serious lust and longing going on, and in two or three places the descriptions have definite blood pressure raising potential. We imagine that after some of these scenes the characters (and perhaps the readers) might need cold showers.
That said, we could totally take the fun out of it by suggesting that the lustiness of this book serves a literary purpose. We could suggest that the way different characters approach sexual desire helps to define them. We could say that lust—at least as it's portrayed in The Demon's Lexicon—is more base and primitive than love. We could say that various characters' views of sex and love demonstrate their various levels of emotional maturity.
But you know what? We won't say any of that. Or rather, we won't say any of it again. At least… not right away. Instead we'll encourage you to dive in and enjoy this rollercoaster ride of desire, longing, and desperation. Sometimes this stuff is a lot more fun to read than it is to experience firsthand… Especially when there are demons involved.
