- At the police station, Captain Ellerby asks Colin if he really thinks that the guy who got charged with the murder of the two Italians actually did it. Colin says he doesn't care as long as they got somebody for it.
- It turns out that the guy who was charged ended up having a heart attack in jail and then got knifed to death at the hospital. So it looks like he's not around anymore to declare his innocence.
- Colin becomes the leader of a special unit, and he handpicks his own team.
- Meanwhile, Billy very slowly and awkwardly starts working for Frank Costello—although he might just be pretending to be clumsy.
- Back at the station, Colin says that he has created this new unit because he thinks that Frank Costello has a rat in the state police. This is pretty clever, since Colin is the rat.
- Frank Costello gives Billy a cellphone and gives him instructions on how to use it. Then at lunch, he pulls a 180 and says that Billy's father and uncle would kill him if they were alive to see him sitting with Billy. He asks Billy if he's ever thought about going back to school. It genuinely seems as if Frank wants what's best for Billy.
- Before he leaves the restaurant, Frank Costello tells a couple of priests to stop messing with little boys, or they'll have to deal with him.
