- Roark then scores a sweet project with Austen Heller, and he goes back to work.
- He and Dominique meet up again and continue their affair.
- Ellsworth Toohey sets Roark up to fail by getting him a job building the Stoddard Temple.
- Roark gets sued for breach of contract over his odd design and has to go to trial.
- His frenemy, Peter Keating, and his secret girlfriend, Dominique, testify against him.
- Roark loses the suit.
- Dominique marries Keating and later Gail Wynand, leaving Roark alone.
