Catherine (Katie) Halsey Timeline and Summary

Katie is Keating's patient, on-again, off-again girlfriend.
Her life becomes increasingly dominated by her uncle, Ellsworth Toohey.
Keating and Katie get engaged.
Katie grows afraid of her uncle and begs Keating to marry her immediately.
But when they both calm down they agree to wait.
Katie grows increasingly disenchanted with her work as a social worker.
Toohey emotionally manipulates and abuses her into staying with her job.
Keating then tells Katie they'll get married for real.
But he jilts her and runs off with Dominique instead.
Katie has a bit of a breakdown.
Years later she meets Keating again, a vastly changed woman.
She's brittle and cold and works in Washington D.C. for some sort of social agency.
She leaves Keating very unemotionally, which disturbs him.
