Megan Hipwell Timeline & Summary

Megan's story starts a year before Rachel's story.
She's married and bored and lonely, so she gets a nannying job with Tom and Anna, a couple from down the street.
But Megan hates babies, so that job doesn't last long.
She goes to therapy and starts having an affair around the same time.
Megan tells her therapist that her brother died, her first boyfriend got her pregnant, she accidentally killed the baby, then her boyfriend left her. Dang, girl.
Ever since, she's been restless and had abandonment issues. It's a bad combination.
Megan gets pregnant with the man she's having an affair with, and her therapist advises Megan tell her husband the truth.
She does, and her husband Scott gets angry and hurts her.
Megan leaves her home and goes to the man she's having an affair with… who turns out to be Rachel's ex-husband, Tom.
Megan tells him she's pregnant. He wants her to have an abortion, but remembering her dead baby, Megan gets really upset by this suggestion and yells at Tom.
Tom whacks her with a rock and kills her. That's the end of poor Megan.
