What's a story about an overindulgent aristocratic family without a little steam now and then? Early in the book, Prince Fabrizio stands up in the middle of dinner and announces that he's going to head into Palermo. Everyone knows that he's going to see his mistress, and the sexual escapades continue from there.
Later in the book, we get an entire chapter outlining the physical romance between Tancredi and Angelica. No, the two never have sex, but the book is very specific about what the two of them would like to do to each other. This chapter is more than enough to fog up a reader's glasses.
