• La Flèche gets booted out of Harpagon's house because Harpagon thinks La Flèche is spying on him and trying to figure out where he hides his money.
• La Flèche says he couldn't care less about the money; he's only waiting for his master, Cléante.
• After getting the boot, La Flèche decides that he'd like to rob Harpagon purely out of spite.
• Later in the play, La Flèche steals Harpagon's money box and hands it over to Cléante, thus giving Cléante the leverage he needs to force Harpagon to give up on marrying Mariane.
