Sean Kendrick Timeline & Summary

In a nine-years-ago prologue, Sean watches as his father gets eaten by a capall uisce.
This doesn't scare Sean away, though, and he grows up to train and ride them in the Scorpio Races each year.
Sean has competition from stable owner (as in, he owns a stable, not as in he's actually stable) Benjamin Malvern's son, Mutt.
Mutt tries—and fails—to kill or disable Sean multiple times before the races.
Meanwhile, Sean helps Puck enroll in and train for the races.
They also fall in love over dinner at Puck's house. Aww…
Sean's goal: To win and have enough money to buy his horse, Corr, from Malvern and move into his father's old home.
He achieves his goal in a roundabout way. When Mutt tries to kill Puck in the races, Sean stops him.
Injured, Sean doesn't win the race. But Puck does, and she helps Sean buy Corr's freedom.
Corr was also injured while racing, so Sean decides to release him into the sea. But Corr doesn't go. He stays with Sean, who is like family.
