Jinny Timeline and Summary

Jinny begins the novel in nursery school.
She heads off to boarding school with the other girls.
After finishing her schooling, she heads to London to fulfill her destiny as a socialite. She gets a great deal of male attention.
As she grows old, she is afraid she is losing her attractiveness to the opposite sex; however, she resolves to continue to pursue connections and relationships.
