Susan Timeline and Summary

Susan begins the novel in nursery school.
She goes to boarding school with the other girls.
After boarding school, she finishes up her education at a school in Switzerland, which she despises.
She returns home to her family home and gets married after finishing her schooling.
She has children and throw herself entirely into mothering, which apparently prevents her from enjoying the outdoors as much as she used to.
Once her kids are older, she appears able to get out of the house and roam her property, as she had as a girl.
