Lionel Croy Timeline and Summary

In the opening scene of the book, Kate comes to visit Lionel and tells him her Aunt Maud has ordered her never to see him again.
She says she's ready to stand by him, though, if he'll have her.
Lionel rejects his daughter's affection and orders her to stay with Aunt Maud so she can send him some of the money Maud gives her.
Dude choses money over his daughter.
Lionel disappears until later in the book, where we hear that he has become mentally unstable and has moved in with his daughter Marian.
Kate comes to Marian's to help take care of him, and we don't know what happens to him after that.
