The frost giant Thrym causes a big stink in Asgard when he steals Thor's hammer and demands Freyja as payment for its return. Which, depending on who you ask, is either really gutsy, or very, very stupid. (Since Thrym's race has a reputation for being kind of dense, we're guessing stupid).

Despite (possibly) being a few bricks short of a full load, Thrym is a force to be reckoned with. For one thing, he's, well, huge. Plus he's actually the king of the frost-giants and has a lot of cool things, like his very own hall, gold dog leashes, and horses that he pets like they're cats (no joke). But none of this stuff is terribly helpful in the long run. The sly duo of Loki and Thor prove to be more than Thrym can handle, and he meets a bloody death at the wrong end of Thor's hammer.
