Julian Singh Timeline and Summary

Julian boards the bus on the first day of school and tries to befriend Ethan by shaking his hand. It doesn't work.
A bunch of sixth-grade bullies decide that knee socks and shorts are not to be tolerated. They bully Julian, but he doesn't seem to care.
He slips some cryptic notes to Nadia, Ethan, and Noah, inviting them to tea at Sillington House. The tea parties happen every Saturday, and the group names itself The Souls.
Unlike any sixth grader we've ever met, Julian decides that The Souls should reach out and help Mrs. Olinski.
Julian also helps Nadia train her dog to perform in Annie and tells us how he learned magic from a man named Gopal on the cruise ship where his father worked.
At the first performance of the play, Julian decides not to let the understudy dog eat some poisoned treats—but he does let the poisoner, Hamilton Knapp, know that Julian totally knows that he did it.
During the final Academic Bowl competition, he defends two of his answers and then wins the game with the match point.
