Mrs. Eva Marie Olinski Timeline and Summary

Mrs. O watches the final Academic Bowl competition and thinks about her team's path to victory.
It's a big deal for her, because she's just come back to teaching after a 10-year hiatus. When she returns to the classroom, something's different: A terrible car accident has left her paralyzed and widowed.
Mrs. Olinski has some trouble adjusting to the new reality of teaching from a wheelchair.
It doesn't help that sixth-graders have somehow become little brats during her decade out of the classroom.
When it's time to select her Academic Bowl team, Mrs. O goes rogue and decides to pick her team instead of holding a competition like all the other teachers.
The first three members are easy to find. She's almost got her fourth selected (Hamilton Knapp), when she realizes that he's a big fat bully.
After the school performance of Annie, she has tea at Sillington House and realizes that she doesn't have a choice after all: Her team already exists in the form of The Souls, and Julian Singh is its fourth member.
As the team wins its way to victory, the school and community rally around Mrs. Olinski.
