Al

Al is Min's BFF and constant companion. Or at least he is until Min starts seeing Ed, at which point she and Al have an argument and stop talking. Even when he's not around, though, Al is conspicuous in his absence. At the hardware store, Min describes herself as "quiet and lonely and trying to conjure Al beside me so I could ask him things only he could know" (2.71). Even when he isn't with her, Al's never far from Min's mind.
