  • It's immediately clear that this isn't any old worm, nor is he anything like the bear and the rabbit. There's a magical aura surrounding him; there's power in that "strange sort of stare." And in case we don't get that in the wording, there's green lightning sparking from his head in the illustrations. The little dude looks like a radio tower, for crying out loud.
  • Clearly, he's had a few more lessons in showmanship than these jerks, staring for a full half an hour with his eyes nearly popping out of his head before the bear interrupts him with a jealous growl.
