may 17 Learn More Brown v. Board of Education Decision


The unanimous Brown vs. Board of Education decision was delivered by the U. S. Supreme Court on this day in 1954. It stated that "separate but equal" was a load of bunk and set the stage for integration. It was also Chief Justice Earl Warren's first case. Pretty big deal, right? Warren continued to be a pretty big deal in his career to follow including leading the commission that investigated the assassination of John F. Kennedy and concluded that gunman Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.
