sep 03 Learn More Woodrow Wilson Goes on Tour to Promote the League of Nations
On this day in 1919, President Woodrow Wilson went on tour to promote the League of Nations. It was kind of like the Justice League, except instead of Superman and Wonder Woman, it had the United States and Belgium. And instead of protecting the entire universe, its goal was to maintain peace on Earth. Ultimately, the League of Nations failed; it was unable to prevent World War II. So, after twenty-six years of effort, it was dissolved and replaced with the United Nations.
