At long last, Olive is done with her floor plan…[Olive eating cheez-it's]
- 00:17
At least…we really hope she is.
- 00:19
We had no idea this would take so long, and to be honest, we're pretty sick of Olive.
- 00:23
Today, she has to focus on how much it’s going to cost to get her office furniture [Olive making a note of the cost of her furniture delivery]
- 00:28
delivered.

She starts by looking over her final floor plan and listing all the pieces of furniture
- 00:33
that made the cut.
- 00:34
Then, she adds in the length, width, and height of each piece of furniture, using information [Olive adding the length, width and height of each individual piece of furniture]
- 00:38
from her completed Furniture Frenzy Worksheet
- 00:41
Yep, she has one of those too.
- 00:43
She realizes delivery guys aren't super into fractions.
- 00:47
So she'll have to round each dimension up to the nearest whole number…
- 00:50
Next on Olive’s agenda is using the info on a delivery service flyer to calculate the [Olive looking at a furniture delivery flyer]
- 00:55
cost of delivering the furniture.
- 00:57
The cost is determined by multiplying the total volume of the furniture by $1.25 per foot
- 01:02
The boring, moderately-sized couch that she was eventually forced to buy for her waiting
- 01:06
room is 35 cubic feet.
- 01:09
So she multiplies $1.25 times 35 to get $43.75. [Olive making calculations on a piece of paper]
- 01:12
That’s how much it will cost to move that piece.
- 01:16
Whoa, when she sees how much this costs, she’s glad she finally went with the couch that’s [Olive falling off of her chair]
- 01:20
boringly small.
- 01:21
Olive keeps going and multiplies the volumes of every piece of furniture by $1.25.
- 01:26
And then she adds them all together….
- 01:28
And then she looks at the total amount she’ll have to pay the movers….
- 01:31
And then she thinks about calling her Grandma to borrow the cash…[Olive thinking about calling her Grandma to borrow cash for the furniture delivery]
- 01:34
Of course, then her Grandma would force her to come over and eat those weird oatmeal squares
- 01:39
she makes…and nothing is worth that.
