Repo Man

Odds of Hanging On

The odds of hanging on depend not only on your skill and ease at repossessing items, but also on your tolerance for stress and danger. Some repo men quit after one night, because the reality of it is much more shocking than hearing about it from a friend at a bar. Or that first crying mother with babies confronts you as you're taking away her livelihood. Does her voice stay with you in the wee hours?

Others might find it a great career until they're confronted with their own mortality; still others find a passion for it, establish a career, and end up working at this job for the rest of their lives. The odds are as unpredictable as a quarter slot machine in Vegas. Simply put, it all depends on your own personality and the experiences you have during your career's tenure.
