Determine or clarify the meaning of unknown and multiple-meaning words and phrases based on kindergarten reading and content.
Context clues abound. This standard is less about vocab and more about students acquiring skills that will help them be little detectives when it comes to new words or old words used in new ways. As the substandards will tell you, affixes and alternate meanings are going to be key.
