Character Analysis
When the officers come to Mrs. Curren's house looking for John, the female officer gets the task of keeping Mrs. Curren calm and out of the way (too bad for her – it's not the easiest job ever). Her character is really interesting because on one end, Mrs. Curren can totally see how she's a nice girl and would make a good wife for someone someday. On the other hand, the female police officer's totally patronizing and fake. We mean, who offers a nice cup of tea to someone who knows there's about to be a shooting in her home? She kind of freaks us out.
