Character Analysis
General Braddock is notable for his interactions with Franklin during the French and Indian War. He's smart enough to realize, when his army needs supplies, that he should ask someone like Franklin for help. Franklin aids him, though Franklin ends up losing money as a result. But Braddock's not smart enough to listen when Franklin gives him advice. Despite his skill and training, he's killed in battle before his army can recover Fort Duquesne, which was his end goal and the reason they needed to get supplies in the first place.
