Sam is the Alpha of the werewolf pack that includes Jared, Emily, Paul, Brady, and Collin.
Sam
As leader of the werewolf pack, Sam struggles with his decision to attack the Cullens, but believes he must act out of duty to protect his pack and the treaty between the Cullens and the werewolves. When Jacob challenges Sam's leadership and leaves the pack, he lets him go without a fight. The two later make up, agreeing that they can co-exist as alphas of two packs.
Emily
Sam is engaged to Emily, who also acts as a mother to the werewolf pack.
Jared
After Jacob forms his own pack with Seth and Leah, Jared comes to convince him to return to Sam's pack – in vain.
