House: Gryffindor (Parvati) and Ravenclaw (Padma), 4th Year
Parvati and Padma are twins. When Harry finds out that Cho Chang is going to the Yule Ball with Cedric and Hermione and Ginny are also already spoken for, out of desperation, he asks Parvati Patil, and Padma agrees to go with Ron.
Parvati seems really flattered that Harry has asked her to the ball. She leads him through the first couple of dances that are required of the champions. Once Harry's finished his duty on the dance floor, though, he stops paying any attention to Parvati. Ron is even worse: he can't take his eyes of Hermione and Viktor for long enough to even glance at Padma. Eventually, the Patil twins wise up and abandon Ron and Harry for some cute Beauxbatons boys – probably a good move on their part.
