Bill Weasley

Character Analysis

Affiliation: Order of the Phoenix

"But Bill's not that down-to-earth. He's a Curse-Breaker, isn't he, he likes a bit of adventure, a bit of glamour….I expect that's why he's gone for Phlegm." (Ginny, 5.136)

We don't see much of Bill in this particular story. When we do see him, he is usually being kissed or embraced by his fiancée, Fleur Delacour, to the Weasley family's disgust. When Death Eaters invade Hogwarts at the end of Book 6, Bill is among those who have come to help fight them and to protect the school. During the fight, Fenrir Greyback (a malicious werewolf) bites Bill and mangles his face, ensuring that he will never look the same again. Thankfully, it wasn't a full moon, so Greyback wasn't transformed, meaning that Bill will not be a werewolf.
