Case Description: Complainant (King Aeëtes) accuses Defendant (Medea) of grand theft for assisting Jason in taking the Golden Fleece when he arrived in Colchis with his Argonauts. After falling in love with the young Greek hero, Medea used her magic to help Jason face the challenges set by her father—including yoking the fire breathing oxen, defeating warriors grown from dragon's teeth, and defeating a real life dragon.
Case Status: Case dismissed. The king never said Jason couldn't get help from anyone, so the Golden Fleece was acquired fair and square. No theft occurred.
